The second day of reportage starts in the best way: a beautiful market on the way to the rice fields of Jatiluwih.
The daily life of the Balinese still amaze me. The women marked by time hypnotize me. Paul takes some pictures. The category market is filling up fast!
We go on.The landscape is getting greener. A dot in the middle of nowhere surrounded by herons moves fast in the rice field. We go down and we venture along the narrow paths. The farmer greets us and continues to work. Climbed back on the scooter suddenly we stop after a while.
On the roadside a load of pigs trucks lying motionless. The pigs seem already pushed in an iron cage. From the hill, three men are walking towards the jungle. We decide to follow them. Breeders are exhausted. Eight pigs from 150 kg each screaming and writhing are no joke to carry !!
Arrived at the rice fields of Jatiluwih the scenery never disappoints. Green is so intense that it seems synthetic. The silence between the slopes is intense. It puts almost awe. The terraces are unchanged for centuries, such as the Temple of Mengwi, Pura Taman Ayun, which we visit on the way back.
